Maize farming is a vital activity that produces maize cobs/grains, one of the most important food crops in Ghana. Maize is popularly cultivated in the country and can be planted any time of the year. It’s almost impossible not to consume maize and its derivatives in 72 hours. Maize and corn are the same, just that “Maize” is commonly used by the British and “Corn” by Americans. Gardening Channel gave comprehensive differences between Maize and Corn. Despite its acceptability, usefulness, and popularity, the yield per hectare is still low in Ghana.
